What is Ai Art?

Artificial intelligence (AI) has had a significant impact on the generation of art. AI-generated art refers to art that is created using machine learning algorithms and other forms of AI technology. This includes not only art, but everything from music and literature to visual art, design and writing.

One of the main benefits of AI-generated art is that it allows for the creation of art at a scale and speed that would be impossible for humans to achieve. It is easy for an artist to explore ideas and be presented with visual directions that are different and fresh. It is a serious tool to prevent an artist from becoming blocked or uninspired.

As the initial hysteria from the impact of AI assisted art fades, it is becoming clear that experienced artists that use AI are generating far better art using AI than people not formally trained or experience in art. A trend that is set to escalate and underpin the idea that AI should be seen simply as a tool and not a replacement for artists.

There are some unexpected but exciting outcomes for experienced creatives, for example, AI algorithms can analyse and replicate styles of famous artists, generate entire music albums, or create unique visual designs in a matter of minutes. This has the potential to revolutionise the art industry, making it easier and more efficient for artists to create fresh new work.

However, there are also some concerns about the impact of AI on the art world. Some people argue that AI-generated art lacks the human touch and emotion that is often present in art created by humans. Others worry that AI could replace human artists and lead to job loss in the art industry. Whilst many seasoned artists aren’t at all happy that the underlying algorithms have learned art from millions of ‘real’ artwork and that has in some way infringed their creative copyright.

Despite these concerns, AI-generated art has already made a significant impact in the art world and is likely to continue to do so in the future. It has the potential to inspire and augment human creativity, as well as open up new possibilities for art creations that were previously unimaginable.

For those that are less than positive about the AI revolution, there is one immutable fact that supersedes all argument on the matter. AI is here, it can’t be un-invented and is only going to get better.

The challenge for all creatives is not to stop the AI revolution but to embrace it and find new creative expression from the tidal wave of AI powered tools being placed in their hands.

For everyone else, it simply means that there will be a huge surge in creativity and impact in all forms of art.

The future has never looked brighter for art lovers & investors.
